The Cedars

The Cedars is a wonderful site conveniently located in the picturesque village of Bassingbourn. This prime location is nestled within the heart of the village on a no-through road where it also benefits from having conservation area status.  The Cedars is close to the village college and opposite the recreation ground presenting some of the plots with stunning views. Being in the heart of the village most of the local amenities, including the schools, are all within a 5 minute walk.

Bassingbourn is a flourishing south Cambridgeshire village with a thriving High Street. The local community benefits from a good selection of pubs and restaurants including The Hoops public house and The Belle restaurant and bar. The village has some great local facilities including a sports centre, doctor’s surgery, dentist, hairdressers, pharmacy, post office and coffee shop. Bassingbourn has both a Primary School and Bassingbourn Village College which is an academy school for years 7 to 11 with a current Ofsted rating of good (as of March 2020).  

The nearest town Royston is just 8 minutes by car with a mainline train station where you can reach central London in 35-40 minutes on the regular fast trains. In the town you will also find a selection of larger supermarkets including Tesco Superstore, M&S, Aldi and Morrisons alongside the usual larger town amenities. 

The prestigious Cambridge University City is less than 15 miles away well connected by road or else from the Royston mainline station with direct trains to Cambridge City and Cambridge North. Visiting the City of Cambridge you will find comprehensive cultural, recreational and education facilities including a range of excellent independent schools for all ages.
